NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

Pursuant to Hawaii Revised Statutes §92-7, notice is hereby given that the Hawaii County Council's
Committee on Planning will be holding a public hearing to hear testimony regarding Bill 123 (Comm. 362),
which amends Section 25-8-5 (Kailua Urban Zone Map) Article 8, Chapter 25 (Zoning Code) of the Hawaii
County Code, by changing the District Classification from Multiple Family Residential (RM-1) to Resort-Hotel
(V-.75) at Puaa I North Kona, Hawaii, covered by Tax Map Key 7-5-9:23 (Applicant: KPC Villages, LLC)
(Area: Approximately 1.172 acres).
I~his bill would allow the development of a 67-unit residential and commercial complex on the mauka side of
Ali`i Drive across from Hinds Restaurant and the Royal Kona Resort Hotel Complex.
The meeting place is accessible for persons with disabilities. Persons who need special accommodations to

Copies of this notice and hill are posted and tiled at the County Clerks Office, 25 Aupuni Street, Hilo; the Office
of the Mayor, 75-5706 Kuakini Highway, Suite 103; Kailua-Kona; and the Kona Councilmembers' Office,
Kailua Trade Center, 75-5706 Hanama Place, Suite 109, Kailua-Kona.

Those persons wishing to testify in person must register with the County Clerk's staff. Those testifying in
person and submitting written testimony at the meeting should bring sixteen copies of the testimony for
distribution at the meeting. Those persons unable to testify in person may submit testimony I) by mail to the
