Re: Resolution No. 148 97 Advertising and Signs
Concerning the revisions to the Hawaii County Code relating to Advertising and Signs
the Kona Traffic Safety Committee is concerned that enforcement of this ordinance may
require a substantial amount of Police Department time (if this department is responsible
for enforcement) reducing the amount of time available for traffic enforcement.
We ask that you consider using administrative procedures to enforce the ordinance to the
extent practical in the Public Works department, which we understand could be similar
to those in place for enforcement through the Humane Society.
