Re: Resolution Accepting Donation
Enclosed is a resolution authorizing the acceptance of a donation of a two man lifeguard
tower to the Department of Parks and Recreation. The lifeguard tower, with an
estimated total value of $30,000, was donated by the Aloha Machine and Welding
Company, 153 Maka'aIa Street, Hilo, Hawaii 96720 and will be used by the East
Hawaii Water Safety Officers for lifeguard surveillance at Onekahakaha Beach Park.

Recreation.

A. REQUEST:
To accept and acknowledge a donation of a two man lifeguard tower located at Onekahakaha Beach Park.
B. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED}:
Council action is being requested to accept and acknowledge a donation by the Aloha Machine and Welding
Company. This stainless steel lifeguard tower will be used by the East Hawaii Water Safety Officers for
lifeguard surveillance at Onekahakaha Beach Park. The estimated value of their donation is $30,000.
