Subject: Bill 148
Virginia:
I respectfully ask for your help in killing bill 148 -amending the zoning code to set
up criteria for small-scale agricultural tourism operations.
My reasons for asking this are as follows:
This is an unenforceable regulation if it is to pass.
Who is going to monitor the annual visitor traffic and make
sure it is less than 30,000 visitors?
What will happen if the farm's business grows and the number
of visitors exceeds 30,000 people annually? Will the county
expect the farmer to be up front and apply for a special use
permit?
This is a situation where the county either abolishes the law pertaining to special
use permits; or, keeps the law in place for special use permits. Please do not put
another unenforceable regulation on the books!
Respectfully;
Bob Nelson
