Comm. 434.1: CONCERNS REGARDING SOLJD WASTE ISSUES
From Councilmember Fred Holschuh, MD, dated September 14, 2005, providing
general comments regarding the solid waste discussion.
Comm. 436: AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 20, OF THE HAWAI`? COUN"fY
(Bill 151) CODE 1983 (2005 EDITION) RELATING TO LITTERING AND REFUSE
DISPOSAL (adds that each day of violation for littering shall constitute a separate
offense; and imposes a penalty of not less than $250 and not more than $1,000 for
ille ag 1 dumping and each day of violation shall constitute a separate offense.)
From Councilmember Bob Jacobson, dated August 31, 2005, transmitting the above
bill, which seeks to strengthen enforcement of illegal dumping by facilitating realistic
enforcement.
