W~i6R6AS, the Kanoelani Chapter of the American Business Women's Association, through donations
from its members to its "Happy Dollar Fund", has purchased and donated an assortment of rescue equipment to
the Hawaii County Fire Department's Waimea Fire Station; and
W~E6@26AS, the equipment, which includes 150 feet of rescue rope, a Pelican NeadsUP Lite, and a CMC
Rescue Radio Harness and has an estimated total value of $250, ~~vill enhance the rescue capabilities of the
firefighters at the Waimea Fire Station; and
WF46R6AS, Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter provides that the Council, on
behalf of the County, may accept gifts or donations of personal property; and
W~B6126AS, the Hawaii County Fire Department recommends the acceptance of this donation.
