RESOLUTION NO.
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING T{~E ACCEPT'ANCE OF A DONATION OF A ~ILLIAR® T'A~LE TO
THE ®EPARTIUIENT OF PARKS ANO R~CR~ATION
WhIEREAS, the Ka'u Ho`olaule'a Committee, 4`h of July Celebration, has donated a Horizon Classic
Solid Hard Rock Maple Billiard Table to the Department of Parks and Recreation; and
W~iEREAS, the billiard table, with an estimated total value of $3,072, will be used at the Na'alehu
Community Center, which currently does not have one; and
W~iEFtEAS, the Ka`u Ho`olaule`a Committee would like to give back to the community by donating this
billiard table and for it to be used by the patrons of the center; and
WI`iERIlAS, Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter provides that the Council, on
behalf of the County, may accept gifts or donations of personal property; and
WFII<REArS, the Department of Parks and Recreation recommends the acceptance of this donation.
NOW, THER{`FORE, BF IT 131eSOLVIQI~ ~Y TI<4E COUNCIL OF T~iE COUNTY OF B~AWAI`I that in
accordance with Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter, the Council of the County of Hawaii
accepts this donation.
ICE IT FUI~TFiER'RESOLVI"D that a copy of this resolution and a letter of appreciation be sent to
Mr. Drake Fujimoto, Ka`u Hoblaule'a Committee, ~m of July Celebration, P.O. Box 867, Na`alehu, Hawaii
96772, acknowledging this generous donation.
