Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill No. 149, reports as follows:
Bill No. 149, transmitted by Director of Finance William Takaba, via Communication No. 432,
dated September 1, 2005, amends Ordinance No. OS-86, as amended, the Operating Budget, ending
June 30, 2006. The amendment is as follows:

3403.21 Parking Meter Receipts Parking Meter $ 9,000
3609.10 Fund Balance from Previous Year $11,000
To:
040-283-5283.06 Parking Meter Equipment Parking Meter $20,000
These funds will be used to purchase new ADA accessible parking meters to replace existing
parking meters located at the existing Federal Building in Downtown Hilo and at the existing
parking lot at the County Building. The existing parking meters are o?d, do not have replacement
parts when they break, and do not meet ADA accessibility requirements.
There was no discussion on this measure.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Bill No. 149 and
recommends it pass first reading.
