the above resolution. The current fi~w~-year contract tirr an independent linancial
audit fitt the County with KPMG, LLP is in its last year. The Council should
proceed with Ihc issuance of a Rcyuest for Proposals (KFP), evaluation, award and
c~ccution of the contract in order to secure an audit firm to conduct a limited
general audit for the next four fiscal years commencing Junc 30.2006 through
lone 30, 2009. Attaches a timetable for securing an independent certified puhlic
accountant firm and a draft KFP.

the above resolution and bill. For the past 30-plus years, the County had been
providing in-bona Chore Sewices to the seniors on the Rig Island. However, the
Department of I luman Services (DI IS) decided to give another provider the Chore
Services Contract fur Fiscal Year 2005-2006. When the new provider withdrew
Ihcir application, the DIIS negotiated with the Oflice of Aging to have Coordinated
Services lur the I?Iderly continue to provide the Chore Services. An extension to
the original contract was granted to December I5, 2005_ with another contract
being dratted up now to take it to the end of.lune 2006. "Ihc total Chore lands for
the entire liscal ~~ear will not exceed $69.127.
