h~ansfer stations and which are in excess of 10 years ofage, require extensive
repairs. and have reached the end of~thcir useful tile. 1'hc Solid Waste Fund does
not have the resources to purchase the referenced equipment and, therefore,
requests the authority to enter into a Icasc agreement for live (5) years. The
funding for this Icasc is included within the current liscal years hudget.

~hc purpose of protecting the watershed for the City of Milo. ~hhe Department of
Woter Supple has determined that the parcel is no longer needed as a watershed.
and they have no interest in owning or maintaining the land. The State of I Iawai'i
uwus the adjacent land. and Ihcy also have no interest in acquiring the land to
maintain as a watershed. 'hhe property requires ongoing maintenance and is nut
considered to be a Icasihie site for future County iacilitics.
