I la~~ai`i County Council hold public hearings around the Island of I lawai'i to 1t~cilitate discussion
of the proposal Ihet I la~~ai'i County take over the management of State boating facilities on the
Iii~~ Island fi~um the I)eparlmenl of Land and Natural Resources.

DI Nlt. She encouraged mcmbcrs ol~the Council to include all harbor and ramp areas in the public
he.nings, even thou not spcciliculh under UI,NR control. Ms. Murphy slated that control of
csizling facilities should renwin under local conU~ol and should not he privatized.

and intent of Kesolution No. 171-OS and recommends its adoption.
