V10~4EREAS, Section 10-11 of the County Charter requires that any contract, lease or other obligation
requiring payment of funds from the appropriations of a later fiscal year or of more than one fiscal year be
approved by resolution; and
9PV~IERE.AS, the County of Ha+~rai`i wishes to enter into multi-year lease agreement for five (5) years for a
copier for the Department of Finance Purchasing Division; and
dPVO-iEREAS, the current copier, which is on a month to month maintenance contract, has been very
problematic the past few months; and
VIIFiEREAS, obtaining a lease on a more technically advanced copier would be more cost effective,
eliminate down time, and increase office productivity.
N®ilb', T~6EFtEFORE, BE IT RES®LVE® ~Y TF9E COUNCIL ®F THE C®UNTY ®F HAWAII:
1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into a five (5) year lease agreement for a
copier for the Department of r=finance Purchasing Division.
2. That sufficient funds be budgeted in future fiscal years to cover the anticipated obligations
of the County under the terms of the agreement.
