RESOLUTION AUTIiORI~ING THt~. PAYMENT OF FUNDS OF A LA,TFR FISCAL YEAR AND OF II!lIIORE
T@~AN ONE FISCAL YEAR FOR ~€€%ILT!-YEAR LEASE FOR SEVEN (7) COPIERS FOR THE HAVO~AI`I
COUNTY POLICE DEPARTMENT
INI~ERI=AS, Section 10-11 of the County Charter requires that any contract, lease or other obligation
requiring payment of funds from the appropriations of a later fiscal year or of more than one fiscal year be
approved by resolution; and
1~VHEREAS, the County of k~awai'i wishes to enter into multi-year lease agreements for five (5) years for
seven (7) copiers for the Hawaii County I='olice Department at the following locations: North Hilo, Hamakua,
Kohala, Ka'u, Kea`au, and Pahoa di::ytrict stations and the Kona Driver License office; and
V10HEREAS, the leases of these seven (7) copiers currently in use have expired; and
1011HEI~EAS, the present copiers are constantly being repaired which causes many non-operational
periods.
NOVOi, THEREFORE, ICE IT RESOLVED ~Y THE COUNCIL OF T'~9E COUNTY OF Hs4WAl`I:
1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into a five (5) year lease agreement for seven
(7) copiers for the ~Bawai`i County Police Department.
2. That sufficient f~mds be budgeted in future fiscal years to cover the anticipated obligations
of the County rander the terms. of the agreement.
