Re: Resolution for amulti-year lease
Enclosed is a resolution authorizing the payment of funds for more than one fiscal year
for seven (7) copiers for the Hawaii County Police Department's district offices in North
Hilo, Hamakua, Kohala, Ka'u, Kea'au, and Pahoa and the Kona Driver's License office.
The copiers currently in use are constantly being repaired which causes many non-
operational periods and their leases have expired.
If there are any questions, please do not hesitate to call the Hawaii County Police
Department.

A. REQUEST:
To enter into amulti-year lease agreement for five (5) years for seven (7) copy machines in the following
locations: North Hilo, Hamakua, Kohala, Kau, Keaau, Pahoa district stations and the Kona driver
license office.
B. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED):
The lease on these copiers currently in use has expired. The present machines are constantly being repaired
which causes many non-operational periods. The Police Department would like to obtain new leases for
copiers for the eight locations. A cost analysis for propsed new copiers is attached.
