Dear Chairman Higa and Council Members:
It is my pleasure to inform you that I have appointed Mr. Doug Wilkerson of
Council District 8 to the Hawaii County Bicycle/Pedestrian Safety Committee.
He is a five-year resident of Hawaii who is presently aself-employed
construction manager. From 2000 to 2003, he was the Project Manager of Big
Island Abalone.
Mr. Wilkerson is a member of the Hawaii Cycling Club and, as an avid cyclist,
logged over 6,000 miles on the Big Island in 2004. He states that he is a
Republican. He will serve a term co-terminus with my own.
