From Councilmember Bob Jacobson, dated August 31, 2005, transmitting the above bill, which seeks to strengthen enforcement of illegal dumping by facilitating realistic enforcement. Postponed: October 4, 2005 Comm. 436.2: From Councilmember Bob Jacobson, dated October 14, 2005, transmitting a (Bill I51) letter and Bill 151, Draft 2. (Draft 2) Draft 2 changes the penalties for littering by removing the option of community service; and changes the penalties for illegal refuse disposal by I) increasing the maximum fine to $1,000 for each violation; 2) adding imprisonment, with a sentence of up to 30 days for each violation; 3) adding a sentence of both fine and imprisonment; and 4) removing the option of community service.
