SUBJECT: Resolution Requiring the County Office of Elections to Provide Candidates for Public
Office with a Copy of Section 3-7, Hawaii County Code 1983 (2005 Edition), Signs
Prohibited in All Districts.
Enclosed is a resolution requiring the County Office of Elections to provide each individual who
files for elective office with a copy of Section 3-7, Hawaii County Code 1983 (2005 Edition), Signs
Prohibited in All Districts.
This resolution will ensure that the public streets and highways are kept free from signs which
distract motorists attention while driving. This is necessary for the promotion and preservation of the
public health, safety, and welfare of the people of the County;
1 trust that you will place this resolution on the agenda for the November 21, 2005 Public Safety
Committee meeting.
