Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution No. 18]-O5, reports as follows:
Resolution No. 181-05, transmitted by Director of Finance William Takaba, via Communication
No. 470, dated September 30, 2005, authorizes the acceptance of a donation from the Ka`u
Ho`olaule`a Committee, 4'~' of July Celebration.
The Ka`u Ho`olaule`a Committee has graciously donated a Horizon Classic Solid Hard Rock
Maple Billiard Table to the Department of Parks and Recreation, which will be used at the
Na`alehu Community Center. The value of this donation is estimated at $3,072.
Pursuant to Article XIII, Section 13-12, Hawaii County Charter., the Council, on behalf of the
County, may accept gifts or donations of personal property.
A letter of appreciation will be sent to Mr. Drake Fujimoto, Ka`u Ho`olaule`a Committee,
4'~ of July Celebration, P.O- Box 867, Na`alehu, Hawaii 96772, acknowledging this generous
donation.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Resolution No. 181-OS
and recommends its adoption.
