'the goal of this program is to initiate activities such as legislation that affects electronic
data transfer and the implementation of Hawaii's statewide data system.
I. Participate in monthly traffic data records committee meetings.
Statewide traflic commanders and other stakeholders N ill participate in monthly meetings
of the traffic data records committee to address legislation that affects electronic data
transfer and the implementation of Hawaii's statewide data system.

• "traffic Commander and officers attended Traffic Records Committee and Sub-
committee meetings on Oahu as scheduled.
• Traffic sub-committee has successfully drafted an updated Motor Vehicle Crash
(MVC) form to be implemented statewide using MMUCC standards.
• "the Traffic Records Committee is presently creating an electronic MVC data
transfer base or form.
• 'the Hawaii County Police Department has successfully transferred electronic
traffic data to the State Department of Transportation.
The objectives of this grant have been met in as much as the progress of having a
statewide traflic data base is being realized by the individual police departments and
the state. Updating of the State's traffic crash report is in progress with several
electronic versions being presented to the committee as well as electronic citations
currently being tested by HonoluluPolic° Department.
