I respectfully request that the attached resolution dispensing with the enforcement of
section 24-216, chapter 24, of the Hawai i County Code 1983, 1995 edition, for metered stalls in
parking areas along Kamehameha Avenue for the Aloha Festival's Ho' olaule' a celebration on
September 27, 1997 be waived to the next Council agenda.

RE: RESOLUTION DISPENSING WITH THE ENFORCEMENT OF SECTION 24-216,
CHAPTER 24, OF THE HAWAII COUNTY CODE 1983, 1995 EDITION (DEPOSIT
OF COINS; TIME LIMITS) FOR METERED STALLS IN PARKING AREAS ALONG
KAMEHAMEHA AVENUE FOR THE ALOHA FESTIVAL' S HO' OLAULE' A
CELEBRATION ON SEPTEMBER 27, 1997.
Pursuant to Section 1(e) of Rule 4 of the Rules of Procedure of the Council of the County of
Hawai' i, this written approval is submitted in regards to the resolution mentioned above,
waiving said referral from the Committee on Public Works and Parks in order that appropriate
action can be taken by the Council.
In reviewing the contents of the referral, it is deemed advisable that such waiver be granted.
