Drafted by Corporation Counsel staff, this bill adds language to Ordinance No. OS 85, regarding commissioners' terms on the Public Access, Open Space, and Natural Resources Preservation Commission. Draft 2 changes wording regarding the beginning of the six-month period for submitting a priority list of lands. The beginning date is .changed from within six months of "appointment" to within six months of "being confirmed." Hawaii County Charter section 13-4 (regarding Boards anal Commissions) applies, by default, in cases of Commissions creat~:.d by charter. 1Towever, the Public Access, Open Space, and Natural Resources Preservation Cor~~mission was created by ordina ce rather than by charter. As a result, the necessary language desC~°ibina the commissioners' terms was inadvertently omitted from the ordinance. Therefore, the appropr€ate language taken directly from section 13-4 of the Charter is used as the basis of the attuclBed bill that amends Ordinance No. OS 85.
