RESOLUTION NO. 216 O5
A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT
AND FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S) AND CREDITING SAME TO A
DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S)
WHEREAS, at the November 7, 2005, department budget meeting of the Department of
Parks and Recreation, the Aquatics Division of said department reported that the lifeguard tower at
Honoka`a Swimming Pool had reached a such a state of overall deterioration that it was removed; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation has requested funding assistance from
District 1 contingency relief account for a new lifeguard tower for Honoka`a Swimming Pool; and
WHEREAS, the safety of those who utilize the Honoka`a Swimming Pool is compromised
without the aid of a lifeguard tower; and
WHEREAS, Aquatic Program Administrator, Larry Davis, in a report requested by 4he
Department of Parks and Recreation dated September 28, 2005, indicated that pool attendance at
Honoka`a Swimming Pool for Fiscal Year 2004-OS was 18,506 persons.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY
OF HAWAII that the following amount is hereby transferred and appropriated as set forth
below:

OUT AND FROM:
010.101.5101.91 Clerk-Council SVC -Contingency Relief $3,000.00
CREDITED TO:
010.500.5513.66 Department of Parks and Recreation $3,000.00
