RE: Transmitting a draft 2 of Bill 169 (2002-2004).
An ordinance amending chapter 19, of the Hawaii County Code 1983 (2005 Edition),
real properly taxes, relating to charitable purposes exemptions.
Transmitted for your consideration is a draft 2 of Bill 169 (2002-2004). This draft makes the
following changes to the bill:
1) Amends the bill to clarify that all references to the Ilawai`i County Code refer to the 2005,
rather than the 1995 Edition of the code.
2) Amends subsection 19-77(b)(1)(A) by replacing reference to section 298-9, HRS, which has
been repealed, with section 302A-1 132, HRS, which replaced it. Also, replaces `okina in
"Hawai'i Revised Statutes.'
3) Amends subsection 19-77(c)(2) by adding lines striking out the language being repealed.
4) Amends subsection 19-77(c)(4) by adding "as amended by the Housing and Urban
Development net of 1970" to the end of the sentence.
(n section 3, of the bill, amends lirst sentence to clarify that material to be repealed is
stricken as well as bracketed.
