Re: Capital Budget
Enclosed is a bill for an ordinance adding the Left-Turn Pocket at Palani Junction project for
$300,000 into this fiscal year's Capital Budget. This project, initially appropriated at
$1,000,000 within the Approved FY2004-05 Capital Budget Ordinance No. 04-75, is in need
of this supplemental appropriation as the apparent low bid is slightly higher than what was
originally estimated. This project involves the design and construction of a left turn pocket
on Route 190 to channel the traffic turning into Route 180 and it should improve the
movement of traffic through this intersection.

Amendment to Ordinance Bill OS-87 to add an appropriation for the Left-
Turn Pocket at Pai ani ,junction Project for $300,000.00.
B. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED):
The apparent low bid for the project was slightly higher than originally
estimated.
Ordinance 04-75 (110.399.5396.80) appropriated $1,000,000.00 for this
project. New appropriation will increase ~~roject amount to
$1,300,000.00.
