Re: Resolution for amulti-year lease
Enclosed is a resolution authorizing the payment of funds for more than one fiscal year
for one (1) copier for the Hawaii County Police Department's Captain Cook Police
Substation. Their current copier is not working and the cost to repair it exceeds the
annual cost to lease a new machine.
If there are any questions, please do not hesitate to call the Hawaii County Police
Department.

A. REQUEST:
Request a Resolution to approve multi-year copier lease agreement for 1 copier for 5 years for the Captain
Cook Substation.
B. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED):
The current copier at the Substation is not working and was purchased approximately 8 years ago. Cost to
repair the old machine is more than the annual cost to lease a newer machine. Cost analysis for the
proposed new copier is attached.
