RESOLUTION NO. 217 ~5
A KESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT AND
FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S) AND CREDITING SAME TO A
DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S)
WHEREAS, a $2,000.00 appropriation for a supplementary grant to the Big Island
Filipino Community Council for the North Kohala Filipino Centennial Celebration on
December 10. 2005, to be administered by the Department of Research & Development; and
WHEREAS, the celebration will be open to the public and will include a parade, exhibits
and displays, demonstrarions, and entertainment; and
WHEREAS, the North Kohala event is part of a statewide celebration of the centennial
anniversary (1906 - 2006) 01~ Filipinos in Hawaii, to be held in December 2005; and
WHEREAS, this event will also be supported through Cunds raised by the North Kohala
Committee and by the Filipino Centennial Celebration Committee.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY
OF HAWAII that the following amount is hereby transferred/appropriated as set forth below:

BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall forward a copy of this
resolution to the Director of Finance and that the Director of Finance is hereby authorized to
make the necessary transfer, in accordance with the terms of this. resolution.
