Mr. Punakoshi believed at that time that the subject pat-cels were inundated with lava and were of no lorrseeablc use, and quitclaim deeds were prepared and filed with the Bureau of Conveyances. In preparation for the auction of the two parcels, it was discoveral that they were not inundated with lava, and when Mr. Funakoshi was Wolf I icd, he expressed a desire to have the parcels returned to him and agreed w pay the back taxes.
