Dear Representative Iliga:
I am strongly opposed to the me~~e to remove Rep. Jacobsen from the chair positon he currently fills. I
have watched his work over several years, both_since his election and before that, and I know he is of the
highest integrity. Others on the council I c~.nnot say that for, <nd I am sickened by the infighting and
manipulations taking place. My suspicion is that you are attempting t:o unseat him because he is doing
too good a job of what he is elected to do!
We urgently need council memb~;rs lilc.e him to help keep the door open to a more conscious way of
developing our lxome, ~~~hose restiaurces are fragile, not infinite. We are falling far behind the mainland
in taking important stepv toward:; solv;ng our environmental prablems, and I encourage you to bear in
mind what this island Ev~ll be like in 10 years as. those children now in grade school are faced with the
debacle of environmental disregard cu~7ently running the county council.
Leave Jacobsen alone and let hi3, do his job!
