Dear Councilwoman Isbell:
I know you from your most able assistance as the L W V contact from Kona to the Waikoloa
Village Association's annual elections a few years ago. 1 know you to be an intelligent and
reasonable person!
Therefore, please stop this midterm shift in committee-chair assignments! THAT concept is
neither intelligent nor reasonable. Any change now would require a "retooling" for the
committees; disrupt the current flow of business (perhaps THAT is the impetus, eh?); and
lessen the effectiveness of each of the standing committees so involved.
Surely, the reassignment of chairs can wait until the next Council term. With all the Council
has to consider of real import, why waste time on this apparent "in-house struggle"? Keep
in step with those who elected you, Ms. Isbell, and help to put a stop to this eastside effort.
