Aloha mai kaua,
I am a Teacher and Farmer in Kona, where I have lived
for 30 years. I have watched with interest the County
Council struggles over the years, and I fear that if
you choose to remove Councilman Jacobson and
Councilman Hoffman from their positions as Chairs of
their respective committees, you will have a mutiny on
your hands.
I think the people of the West side will see this as
an all out attack on the folks who would "side" with
the wishes of all the island peoples east and west. I
believe both gentlemen have done an excellent job as
chairs of their committees, and to remove them to gain
political power, will definitely backfire.
I think you should rethink your position here, before
the valuable tax assets of Kona, end up financing the
west side only.
