Aloha, Chairman Stacy Higa,
This a e-mail is to ask you to not make the changes in Hawaii County Council Committee leadership
positions that you are planning. There is no valid reason for these changes in leadership.
Councilman Jacobson has been a very effective public servant at the Department of Environmental
Management. His commitment to Hawaii Island's environment is unimpeachable. There is no one better
to chair the Department of Environmental Management Committee than Bob Jacobson.
Councilmember Pete Hoffmann's removal from his Co-Chair of Planning Committee is equally
unjustifiable. He has been a consistent advocated for the Big Island citizens when planning the
for future of our island.
These councilmembers should be applauded for commitment to there central job, representing the
citizens of Hawaii County in their respective chairmanship positions.
So, please don't do these changes they are unjustifible and counter-productive.
