We the undersigned, arc opposed to the changes in Committee Chair positions as recommended
in Res. 207-05.
The new comicil was established in December of 2004 and Committees organized thereafter. A
change in council chairmanship followed after a relatively short period of time. This move
became a sign that was read at the time, by many, that not all was well in the County Legislative
branch. Subsequent news that an attack on the Sunshine Law was underway further eroded the
opinion regarding the council's ability to conduct the Council's business. Now this new attack
on the committee's chair positions is regarded as political shenanigans and is entirely uncalled
Tor. Let's keep what has been working.
