Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill No. 169, reports as follows:
Bill No. 169, transmitted jointly with Resolution No. 204-05 by Director of Finance
William Takaba, via Communication No. 531, dated October 31, 2005, amends Ordinance
No. 05-86, as amended, the Operating Budget, ending June 30, 2006. The amendment is as
follows:

010-221-5221.02 Fire Protection—OCE General $1,250
010-221-5224.02 Fire Prevention—OCE General $1,000
Total $2,250
These funds were donated as part of Wal-Mart Hilo's "Safe Neighborhood Grant" program, and
will be used towards the purchase of educational materials to be distributed to the public in
commemoration of Fire Prevention Week and Emergency Medical Services Week.

Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Bill No. 169 and
recommends it pass first reading.
