RESOLUTION NO. 226
A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT
AND FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S) AND CREDITING SAME TO A
DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S)
WHEREAS, the Hilo Downtown Improvement Association is an organization comprised of
individuals and small businesses in the downtown area of Hilo; and
WHEREAS, the Hilo Downtown Improvement Association strives to promote a healthier.
cleaner, safer and welcoming environment for residents and visitors alike; and
WHEREAS, the Hilo Downtown Improvement Association is launching its 2005 Holiday
Lights program to enhance visitor and resident enjoyment in the downtown area for the Christmas
season; and
WHEREAS, a further purpose of the Holiday Lights program is to promote and foster a
festive and friendly atmosphere during the holiday season; and
WHEREAS, the county is providing manpower and support in the event; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Parks & Recreation will utilize these funds to pay for costs
associated with the event.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY
OF HAWAII that the following amount is hereby transferred and appropriated as set forth
below:
