Only Homeowner's who rettmt this farmed, properly signed, will continue to be in the Homeowners' class for tax
year 1998-99. The penalty for falsely claiming this class is a $1,000 fine. DO NOT SIGN AND RETURN THIS
FORM UNLESS YOU ARE LEGALLY QUALIFIED TO REMAIN IN THE HOMEOWNERS' TAX CLASS.
Following are some examples of home activities-no matte how small, no matter how little you make, no
matter how small a part of your home or home property they occupy- which disqualify your Owner Occupied
home frotn being eligible for the Homeowners' CLtss.
• Making any art or craft, such as painting, woodworking, jewelhy making for sale or trade in any location.
• Growing of any plants for sale, such as orchids, vegetables, or bonsai, or any related products.
• Providing a service, such as catering, dcebana, babysitting, errands for money or trade.
• Providing professional service, such as instrrance, consulting of any kind, irtsurattce sales.
• Telewmmutting to work for a private employer'
• Piecework : ~ .
• Telemarketing on contract.
• Sales of any products or product networks (i.e. Amway, Tupperware, telecommunications)
• Entertainment to promote business, as the owner or employce of a private business'
• Telephoning to promote busiress or further career as owner or employce of private business
• Animal breeding for sale; such as dogs, cats, chickens, fish, animal training or grooming, etc.
• Writing.for sale or to promote you.business.
• Any trade, such as plumbing, carpentry, etc. which is carried out from a phone in your home.
• Any trade carried out in your home such as auto repair, upholstery or sewing.
• Cleaning other people's homes, with appointments and equipment from own home.
• Any real estate sales.
• Providing professional advice, evenings or during set days of the wcek, from their home.
• Operate of agricultural business, farming, ~ conducting business of products sales.
• Any member of a buying, investing or other cooperative group which receives benefits from acitivites at home.
• Managing investments for your own account or others.
• Any telecommunica[ons or interne[ business, sales, investing, senvices, etc., provided from your home.
• Antique restoratioNspeculation (i.e. cars or homes.)
• These do not apply to elected or appointed officials or civil servants.
Note: The additional property taxes you must pay Because df the business use of your property are cannot be
used as a deductible business expense on your state or federal income tax returns.
I swear that my home and/or home property is not used for any business activity. I understand that falsely claiming
