RESOLUTION NO. 232 06
A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT
AND FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S) AND CREDITING SAME TO A
DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S)
WHEREAS, the freezer that was located at Papa`ahia Gymnasium Annex Building reached a
state of irrevocable disrepair in October 2005; and
WHEREAS, community associations and other groups that had utilized said freezer are now
required to rent freezers on a short-term basis to handle their cold-capacity needs for fundraisers,
community service projects and parties: and
WHEREAS, the fi'eezer that was being utilized prior to its demise was privately owned by a
local community group; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation has stated they would like to have a
new freezer installed at the Papa`aloa Gymnasium Annex Building provided said freezer will be the
property of the Department of Parks and Recreation; and
WHEREAS, the new freezer will be owned and managed by the DepartmenC of Parks and
Recreation as part of the facilities offered at Papa`aloa Gymnasium; and
WHEREAS, the new freezer will be available to be used by any authorized parties who have
received proper permitting to utilize the Papa`aloa Gymnasium and its Annex Building for event
purposes including but not limited to parties, fundraisers and community service projects.
NOW, THERF,FORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY
OF HAWAII that the following amount is hereby transferred and appropriated as set forth
below:

010.500.5507.06 Department of Parks and Recreation $700.00

BE IT FINALLY RIJSOLVLD that the County Cl:,rk shall forward a copy of this
resolution to the Director of Finance and that the Director of Finance is hereby authorized to
make the necessary transfers in accordance with the terms of this resolution.
