Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Communication No. 552, reports as follows:
Communication No. 552, transmitted by Mayor Harry Kim, dated November 16. 2005, nominate
Ms. Ann L. Lum to the County of Hawaii Board of Ethics.
Council District 9 - A resident of I lawai'i for 3 years, Ms. Ann L. Lum is a retired pre-school
educator. Erom 1996 to 200, Ms. Lum was employed by the Norris Eaton School in Walnut
Creek, California. Prior to that, she worked as an administrator at Citibank's Career Center in
Oakland, California_ She is a member of the Kawaihae Canoe Club and a lector at the
Annunciation Catholic ('hurch. Of no political party, she will serve a term to end
December 31, 2010.
Pursuant to Article XIV, Section 14-5, Hawaii County Charter, there shall be a board of ethics.
consisting of five members who shall be residents of the County, appointed by the mayor with
the approval of the council.
Ms. Ann Lum unable to attend Die Finance meeting however advised the Finance Committee
Chair that she would attend the next Council meeting.
Your Committee on Finance recommends the confirmation of Ms. Anu L. Lum to the Ilawai'i
County Board of Ethics to serve a teen ending December 3 I , ')_0l 0.
