Operating Budget, ending June 30, 2006. 'The amendment is as follows:

The State of Hawaii Department of `Transportation Public Affairs -Safe Community Program, has
authorized a Hawaii County Fire Department Lifting Bag Purchase grant to the Hawaii County Fire
Department. These grant funds will be used to purchase six pneumatic lifting bags to support extrication
of victims and the stabilization of vehicles involved in automobile crashes.
Pursuant to Section 46-7, Hawaii Revised Statutes, and Section 13-13(b), Hawaii County Charter, the
Mayor is hereby authorized to apply for, receive and expend the funds for a Victim Services program.
There was no discussion on this measure.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and invent of Bill No. 178 and recommends it
pass tirst reading.
