Communication Nn. 556, dated November 14, ?005, amends Ordinance No. OS-86, as amended, the
Operating Budget, ending June 30, 2006. The amendment is as follows:

The Stale of Hawaii Department of Transportation Public ACl:rirs -Safe Community Program, has
authorized a HCPD Data Gran) to the Hawaii County Police Department, which will be used to continue
their efforts to establish a statewide traftic data system and to ensure compliance with national standards.
Pursuant to Section 46-7, Ha«ni'i Revised Statutes, and Sectiun 13-13(b), Hawaii County Charter. the
Mayor is hereby authorized to :reply tilt, receive and expend the funds for a HCPD Data Grant.
There was no discussion on this measure.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and inicnt of Bill No. 186 and recommends it
