dated November 14. 2005, amends Ordinance No. OS-86, as amended, the Operating Budget,
ending June 30, 2006. The amendment is as follows:

~fhe Police Department will he receiving additional funds from the State of Hawaii Department
of "Cransportatiou Public Affairs - Saic Community Program for its Speed Enforcement Grant.
~fhe goal of this speed enforcement grant program is to reduce the number of motor vehicle
collisions resulting in igjuries and latalities caused by speeding drivers.
Pursuant to Sectiun 46-7. Hawaii Revised Statutes, and Section 13-13(b), Hawaii Count}'
Charter, the Mayor is ah~cud~~ authorized to apply for, receive and expend the funds for this
program identified in the Operating Budget.
~Fhere was no discussion nn this measure.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Bill No. 181 and
recommends it pass first reading.
