Your Committee on Finance, to which was reterred Resolution No. 214-05, reports as follows:
Resolution No. 214-05, tran,mittcd by Director of Finance William 'Cakaba, via Comnumication
No. 561. dated November 16, 2005, authorizes the payment of funds of a later fiscal year and of
more than one fiscal year tier amulti-year lease for a copier for the Hawaii County Police
Department.
fhe Hawaii County Police Departments Captain Cook Police Substation wishes to enter into a
tive-year lease agreement for a copier. Funds would be budgeted in future fiscal years to cover
the anticipated costs.
Pursuant to Section LO-1 1, f lawai'i County Charter, any contract, lease or other obligation
requiring payment of funds from the appropriations of a later fiscal year must he approved by
resolution.
there was no discussion on this measure.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Resolution No. 2 ] 4-05
and recommends its adoption.
