RE: Discretionary Punds (District 7)
Discretionary funds from District 7 will be used to purchase three sheltered signs (`ohia-post) for
the West Hawaii Veterans' Cemetery. The sheltered signs will enhance visitors' experience at
the Cemetery, and inform them what they are seeing. The signs will also present the names of
the interred and their location; the cultural, historical, and environmental aspects of the
restoration project, and its sponsors and partners in the community. West Hawaii Veterans'
Cemetery Development and Expansion Association, Inc., will partner with the County of
Hawaii to bring this project to fruition.
Enclosed is a resolution authorizing the transfer of $11,092.00 from the Clerk-Council Services-
Contingency Relief account to the following account and project:
