Dear Ms. Testa:
We are very pleased to inform you that the Hawaii Tourism Authority has
approved an additional $100,000 for the County Product Enrichment Program (CPEP)
bringing the full award to the County of Hawaii for calendar year (CY) 2006 CPEP
activities to $500,000.00.
Please note that we have also agreed to allow up to 15% of the award to be used
for administrative expenses incurred by the County to manage and coordinate this
program. We are very excited about our continuing partnership with the County and
look forward to continuing to work with you and your staff. As you know, we are drafting
a supplemental agreement for this program as the multi-year contract awarded earlier
covered the program from 2004 through 2006.
Thank you once again for your enthusiastic support and great efforts on behalf of
Hawaii's visitor industry. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate
to contact either Muriel Anderson at 973-2269 or Robbie Kane at 973-2262.
Sincerely,
Rex D. Johnson
President and Chief Executive Officer
The Honorable Harry Kim, Mayor, Hawaii County
