Dear Chairman Higa and Council Members:
It is my pleasure to inform you that I have appointed Cathryn J. (Katie) Nova, Ph.D., of
Council District 7 to the County of Hawaii Mayor's Committee on the Status of Women.
Ms. Nova is a 10-year resident of Kailua-Kona, Hawaii. Since 1996, she has had her
own private practice in individual, couples, group and family psychotherapy and
psychological testing. She is a member of the American Association of University
Women, the Hawaii Psychological Association and a past member of Soroptimist
International of Kona. Ms. Nova states that she is not affiliated with any political party.
She will replace Margaret Masunaga, who resigned, and will serve a term to expire on
December 31, 2007.
