Re: Bill 192 -Kaumana Drive Sidewalks Project
Dear Council Member Ikeda:
"Thank you for the opportunity to review and provide comments on the proposed bill to amend
the capital budget by appropriating $150,000 to provide for construction of sidewalks on
Kaumana Drive from Lele Street to Puuhina Street. Both Kaumana Drive and Waianuenue
Avenue are heavily traveled roads. I understand that this project would add 700 feet of
sidewalk to the existing Waianuenue Avenue sidewalk corridor, and address safety concerns
of residents and handicapped individuals using Kaumana Drive.
Making our communities more pedestrian-friendly is a goal of the County, and this proposed
project will support this goal.
Again, I thank you for the opportunity to provide comments on your proposal.
