Comm. 594: REPORT OF THE HAWAII COUNTY POLICE FLEET IMPLEMENTA'T'ION
WORKING GROUP (regarding transition from subsidized police vehicles to a
County-owned fleet)
From Police Fleet Implementation Working Group Chair Dwayne Miyashiro, dated
December 8, 2005, transmitting the above report pursuant to Resolution 224-04, which
requested a written implementation plan by January 2, 2006. The report recommends a
phase-in of a County-owned police fleet of 369 vehicles over afive-year period. This
plan allows flexibility to validate the cost and operations assumptions made in
developing the plan, and to refine the process based on a yearly assessment.
Comm. 624: RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE COUNTY OF HAWAII POLICE
(Res. 237-06) DEPARTMENT TO INCREASE ENFORCEMENT OF TRAFFIC VIOLATIONS
WITHIN THE HAWAIIAN PARADISE PARK SUBDIVISION

testimony. Those persons unable to testify in person or by videoconference may submit testimony (1)

meeting when transmitted in a timely manner. In any case, both oral and written testimony will be
made a part of the public record.
Notice to Lobbyists: If you are a lobbyist, you must register with the Hawaii County Clerk within five
days of becoming a lobbyist {Article 15, Section 2-91.3(b), IIawai`i County Code}. A lobbyist means
"any individual engaged for pay or other consideration who spends more than five hours in any month
