Dear Chairman Higa and Council Members:
It is my pleasure to nominate Mr. Newton Inouye of Council District 2 to the
County of Hawaii Environmental Management Commission. Mr. Inouye is a
49-year resident of Hawaii who is currently employed with the Department of
Health as a registered sanitarian. He is a past vice president of the Lehua
Jaycees, and a past member of both the Hawaiian Island Food Bank and the
American Red Cross. Mr. Inouye states that he is not affiliated with any political
party. If confirmed, he will serve a term to expire on December 31, 2010.
