SUBJECT: TRAFFIC CODE AMENDMENT
WAIANUENUE AVENUE: Compression of one-way traffic pattern,
Komohana Street to Laimana Street.
For your review and appropriate action are amendments to the Traffic Code to implement a
compression of the existing school one-way pattern on Waianuenue Avenue.
The one-way pattern will be shortened to end at Laimana Street rather than Kamehameha
Avenue. This will improve control of the traffic flow on Waianuenue Avenue, especially during
the transition periods of the one-way flow, when many vehicles are observed traveling in the
wrong direction. It will also minimize the County's exposure to liability during the one-way
period. A location map is attached.
We ask for your review and consideration for adoption of the subject amendment. Should you
