Dear Chairman Higa and Council Members:
It is my pleasure to inform you that I have nominated the following individuals to the County of
Hawaii Pension Board:
Council District 2 -David Y. Omura is a 55-year resident of Hawaii. Mr. Omura is currently a
Financial Advisor with Wachovia Securities. From 1985 to 2004, he was a Financial Advisor
with UBS Financial Serivices. He is a member of the Kilauea Masonic Lodge and the Ancient
Order of Forresters. Mr. Omura states that he is not affiliated with any political party. If
confirmed, he will serve a term to expire on December 31, 2009.
Council District 9 -John H. Sucke is a three-year resident of Hawaii. Mr. Sucke retired in
2002, after being employed since 1974 as an Executive Director with the Screen Actors Guild.
He is a past treasurer of the National Coalition Against Censorship, past executive secretary of
the Association of Actors and Artists of America, and a past trustee of the Screen Actors Guild
Pension and Health Plan. Mr. Sucke states that he is not affiliated with any political party. If
confirmed, he will serve a term to expire on December 31, 2006.
