Dear Chairman Higa and Council Members:
It is my pleasure to inform you that I have appointed Mr. Robert G. Ward of
Council District 7, to the Hawaii County Bicycle/Pedestrian Safety Committee.
Mr. Ward is a three-year resident of Hawaii. He is a retired engineer, who
formerly worked for the Canadian National Public Works Administration and the
Wisconsin Central Transportation Corp. Mr. Ward is a current member of the
Kona Traffic Safety Committee, the Mamalahoa Highway Improvement Working
Group and the Keauhou Canoe Club. Mr. Ward states that he is not affiliated
with any political party. He will serve a term co-terminus with my own.
